Overview

Provision of comprehensive cleaning services at the Northern Tygerberg Sub-Structure PHC facilities for 60 months (5 years). Suitable bidders are cleaning service providers with healthcare facility cleaning experience, IPC familiarity, and ability to meet regulatory and procurement requirements (CSD, tax, B-BBEE, COID/UIF/PAYE, VAT where applicable).

Requirements

• 60-month contract covering NTSS PHC sites (e.g., Kraaifontein CHC, Bishop Lavis/Bothasig Elsies River, Ravensmead, Reed Street, Fisantékaal, Symphony Way, Delft, etc.).
• Minimum staffing: 12 cleaners allocated across facilities, with facility-specific allocations (as stated in the specifications).
• Compliance: must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD); provide SARS Tax Compliance Status (TCS) or PIN; VAT status if applicable; COID, UIF, PAYE registrations; public liability insurance.
• B-BBEE: complete WCBD6.1 (and WCBD4); provide B-BBEE verification for preference points.
• Healthcare IPC readiness: cleaners trained in IPC guidelines; materials handling, waste, linen; Hepatitis B proof and medical fitness requirements noted in specifications.
• Site access, rotation, replacement: Contractors must deploy staff as required, rotate between sites, and provide replacement cleaners within 1 hour when needed.
• Penalties and SLA: adherence to bid specs; penalties for late or inadequate performance; provision for monthly checklists.
• Pricing: pricing must reflect latest government minimum wage rates; pricing schedule to be submitted per Annexure A (Excel) and in VAT-inclusive terms.
