Overview

The bid seeks the supply and delivery of laryngoscopes and consumables to all institutions under the Department of Health, Western Cape Government Health and Wellness, for a three-year period. Bidders should be manufacturers or distributors of medical devices with SAHPRA registration, ISO 13485 certification, and must secure an OEM sole importer/supplier arrangement. Bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD), comply with tax requirements, and meet Western Cape B-BBEE criteria.

Requirements

• SAHPRA licence as manufacturer, distributor or wholesaler of medical devices/IVDs.
• ISO 13485 Quality Management System certification for each manufacturer.
• OEM sole importer/supplier appointment and ongoing OEM training/support.
• Demonstrate manufacturing standards for each facility/country of manufacture.
• B-BBEE status as per WCBD 6.1; provide verification certificate or sworn affidavit.
• CSD registration at bid closing and tax compliance verification; 7 working days to confirm tax if needed.
• All bids must include required WCBD forms and be valid for 120 days; prices VAT inclusive; comply with GCC/SCC.
• Local Western Cape support/maintenance capability; demonstration/training requirements; warranty obligations (12 months).

• Submit sealed hard copy to the Department of Health Bid Box at Karl Bremer Hospital (M9 building), plus a soft copy on USB.
• Documents to submit (attach to bid): WCBD 1, 3.1 pricing, 4, 6.1; SAHPRA licence; ISO 13485; OEM Sole Supplier Letter; CSD/tax status; B-BBEE documents; demonstrations/manufacturer literature as required.
• Joint Ventures must include JV formation documents; must respond to all sections of the bid.
