FOR THE SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF TE POWER CAR EXHUAST MUFFLER AT TRANSNET ENGINEERING, KOEDOESPOORT (ONCE OFF)

Overview

Procurement of the TE Power Car Exhaust Muffler for Transnet Engineering, Koedoespoort (one-off). Target bidders are manufacturers/suppliers of diesel engine exhaust mufflers who can meet the PD-PDC-NAT-SPEC-0503 (Annexure A) and supply two mufflers for the TE power car application, with delivery to Transnet Engineering, Koedoespoort.

Requirements

• Full technical compliance with PD-PDC-NAT-SPEC-0503 (latest revision) and a clause-by-clause response.
• Detailed design proposal per Annexure A (concept development, materials, standards, manufacturing/fabrication considerations, project timeline).
• Provide 3+ reference letters for similar supply to earn maximum points; warranty of 24 months (or more) earns higher scores; include lead time per coach.
• Returnable documents: complete SBD1/SBD7 and all essential/scoreable returnables; ensure all are signed and on official letterhead where required.
• Compliance with tax requirements: SARS PIN, TAX/CSD validation, and CSD number if no TCS PIN.
• ESG/DPIP/FPPO disclosures as applicable; integrity pact and anti-corruption commitments (Annexure D).
• Site safety and security: compulsory PPE for site visits; potential security clearance for contract personnel.
• Contract framework: Transnet Bid Conditions apply; NDA/Confidentiality obligations as in attached documents.

Notes: Security clearance may be required; the Integrity Pact and DPIP/FPPO disclosures are part of the process (Annexures C & D). See Annexure A for exhaust muffler specs and Annexure B for general bid conditions.
