Overview

This RFQ seeks the supply and installation of frameless glass doors at Iziko South African Museum and Iziko Social History Centre. Suitable bidders are service providers with CIDB Grade GB 2 or higher, and credentials including CSD, VAT/compliant tax status, and a valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, with demonstrable glazing/door installation experience and OHSA-compliant safety practices.

Requirements

• Administrative: Central Supplier Database report with supplier number and valid tax status; detailed pricing on company letterhead including VAT; valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; signed RFQ; CIDB GB 2 or Higher; completed SBD 4 and SBD 6.1; CVs and qualifications of key personnel.
• Technical/Scope: Fabrication, delivery, and installation of glass doors and infill panels as specified; safety glass (toughened), appropriate thickness, and SANS markings; health and safety compliance; 2-year glass warranty and glass-protection arrangements during installation.
• Evaluation: Proposals evaluated on 80/20 price vs specific goals; HDI/Black ownership considerations apply per the 80/20 framework; mandatory compliance required before price evaluation.
