Overview

Procurement of on-site waste management services, including servicing of contractor-owned roll-on/roll-off skip trucks at Foskor Phalaborwa Mine for 3 years. Bidders should be experienced waste management providers with municipal/provincial waste transporter registrations, suitable MHSA qualifications, tax/compliance credentials, and capability to manage multiple waste streams on a mining site (ANNEXURES A–E; FOSPHB-RFP-10-26/27-Waste Management-Owned Skip Bins Roll-Off Skip Trucks.pdf).

Requirements

• Municipal/provincial waste transporter registration (proof required).
• Key personnel: MHSA 2.6.1 qualified (minimum 1), MHSA 2.9.2 supervisory, skip-truck operator competence, waste sorter competence; CVs and certificates must be attached.
• Operational capacity: at least 2 dedicated skip trucks; trucks in serviceable condition; roadworthy and load-manufacture certificates.
• Compliance: tax compliance status (SARS PIN or CSD number, with separate certificates for JV/consortia); Central Supplier Database registration where applicable.
• Legal/standards: compliance with NEMWA, Mines Health and Safety Act, National Road Traffic Act; adherence to Foskor COPs, SANS standards, and safety/environmental procedures; security/permitting requirements (PERMIT TO WORK, safety file, BRA).
• Environmental and safety: Safety File, Waste Management Plan, permits/licenses (Water use, Waste Management Permit, Atmospheric Emissions), site inductions, and on-site training for personnel.
