FOSRBY-RFP-13-26/27 REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL [RFP] THE PROVISION OF MICROSOFT AZURE CLOUD BACKUP SERVICES FOR A PERIOD OF SIXTY (60) MONTHS

Overview

The RFP seeks a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider to supply, implement, manage, and bill Azure Cloud Backup services for Foskor’s Microsoft 365 workloads and designated on-premises servers for a 60-month period. Eligible bidders are CSPs with Microsoft partner status and proven Azure cloud backup capabilities, able to meet POPIA/ECTA data protection requirements.

Requirements

• Active Microsoft CSP with a valid MPN ID; provide confirmation letter (Annexure B).
• References: submit signed client testimonials from current/past customers (minimum three) with contact details (Annexure B).
• Certifications: provide CVs showing resources with relevant certifications (AZ-104, AZ-900, AZ-305, AZ-800/AZ-801); scoring allocated by certification level (Annexure B).
• Experience: average 4+ years of Azure Cloud backup support across resources (Annexure B).
• Data protection/compliance: describe protections for POPIA/ECTA, including data residency, encryption, auditability, incident notification, subcontractor access, retention and secure deletion at contract expiry.
• Deliverables and SLAs: propose achievable RPO/RTO per workload; provide monthly consumption and billing reporting; deploy Azure Cloud backup for 21 on-prem servers; document SLAs, response times, escalation, and service credits; supply an implementation plan with milestones and risk management (Annexure B).
• Pricing: complete pricing per Annexure A, with total five-year price (excl. VAT) and breakdown for Microsoft 365 backups and Azure Server Backup; include assumptions and identify separate consumption-based vs. implementation/recurring costs.
• Other: compliance with Foskor’s policies and Good Industry Practice; no unlawful subcontracting; exit/transition requirements at contract end.
