FOUR-YEAR TERM CONTRACT FOR MECHANICAL AND OTHER RELATED MAJOR PLANT AND MACHINERY INSTALLATION, MAINTENANCE, REPAIR, REFURBISHMENT AND UPGRADE FOR SOUTHERN OPERATIONS (EASTERN CAPE AND WESTERN CAPE).

Overview

Four-year term contract for mechanical and other related major plant and machinery installation, maintenance, repair, refurbishment and upgrade for Southern Operations (Eastern Cape and Western Cape). Suitable bidders are heavy engineering/maintenance contractors with CIDB 8ME or higher, capable of associated electrical work (or subcontracting an EP CIDB) and operating in Eastern and/or Western Cape; joint ventures allowed with lead partner meeting the higher CIDB grade. Local content and regulatory compliance are mandatory.

Requirements

• CIDB grading: 8ME or higher for the relevant area; lead partner if JV; demonstrable electrical experience or subcontract EP.
• JV rules: every member CIDB-registered; lead partner meets required grade; combined grade meets ME threshold.
• Compliance: CIDB active registration; CSD (National Treasury); SARS tax compliance; COID registration; authority to sign bid ( Annexure I ); compulsory declarations; no conflicts of interest.
• Site/quality: attend compulsory site briefing; Annexure A attendance; Phase 2 quality minimum 70/100; workshop evaluation minimum 70/100.
• Returnable documents: complete SBD 1, 3.2, 4, 6.1; price schedules; Annexures J, K, L, M, N, O, plus DTi Annexes for local content.
• Other: local content calculations; capacity to provide workshop facilities within prescribed radius; health and safety compliance.
