FOUR-YEAR TERM CONTRACT FOR MECHANICAL AND OTHER RELATED MAJOR PLANT AND MACHINERY INSTALLATION, MAINTENANCE, REPAIR, REFURBISHMENT AND UPGRADE FOR EASTERN OPERATIONS (KWAZULU NATAL). ONLY RESPONDENTS

Overview

Four-year term contract for mechanical and other related major plant and machinery installation, maintenance, repair, refurbishment and upgrade for Eastern Operations (KwaZulu-Natal). Only respondents with CIDB grading 8ME or higher are eligible to bid; joint ventures are allowed with the lead partner meeting CIDB 8ME (EP subcontracting may be required for electrical works).

Requirements

• CIDB 8ME or higher; JV allowed with lead partner meeting CIDB requirement; for electrical works, EP grading subcontractor may be required.
• Compulsory briefing attendance (Spring Grove Dam, Rosetta, KZN Midlands, 18 Sep 2026 10:00).
• CIDB proof and authorisation documents: active CIDB registration (Annexure J); authority to sign (Annexure I).
• Schedule Annexure U for electrical scope if applicable; JV/association agreements if applicable.
• Legal/compliance: tax compliant; Central Supplier Database (CSD); SARS tax status; COID/good standing; Compulsory Declaration; non-defaulters list checks.
• Returnable documents and pricing: complete SBD forms (SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1), Preferencing (Annexure E), B-BBEE (Annexure F); CIDB/EP requirements; fully priced SBD 3.2 price schedules; supporting documentation as per Annexures.
• Local content: complete Annex C (Local Content) and Annex D (Imported Content) per DTI guidance; annexes for verification.
