Overview

Framework agreement for the statutory inspection, testing, servicing and repair of pressure equipment for the City of Cape Town. Open tender in the Technical Services space; suitable for electrical/mechanical engineering firms with pressure equipment inspection/maintenance capabilities, including those with an Authorised Inspection Authority (AIA) SLA and SANAS accreditation.

Requirements

• Must hold an AIA SLA with an Authorised Inspection Authority and provide SANAS accreditation; the AIA must be independent/impartial.
• Minimum functionality score of 70/100 for Category A and Category B, including:
  • Key staff experience (Electrical/Mechanical Artisan or Millwright) per Schedule F.13A.
  • Company experience with completed comparable projects per Schedule F.13C.
• Mandatory returnable documents and qualifications (examples): Details of Tenderer; Certificate of Authority for Partnerships/JVs; Declarations of Interest, Conflicts of Interest; Certificate of Independent Bid Determination; Authorisation for deduction of outstanding amounts; Tax compliance documentation.
• Compliance with the City of Cape Town SCM Policy and pre-qualifications (CSD registration, CCT Supplier Database, SARS Tax Compliance PIN).
• Serviceability requirements for Category A and Category B, including AIA/SANAS-related proof (as per Schedule F.13A–F.13E and related annexures).

How to Apply

• Site visit and clarification: 18 September 2026 at 10:00, Killarney EAM Depot Boardroom; strongly recommended but not compulsory.
• Closing date/time: 5 October 2026 at 10:00; tender box and submission details on front page.
• Submission method: sealed envelope/tender box submission at Civic Centre, 12 Hertzog Boulevard, Cape Town; include Form of Offer, Returnable Documents, and any required copies; if too large, seek alternative instructions at the tender office.
• Required documents to submit (in addition to the Form of Offer):
  • Returnable documents (e.g., Schedule F.1–F.13 as applicable)
  • Proof of AIA/SANAS arrangements
  • Tax Compliance Status PIN (SARS)
  • CSD registration and CCT Supplier Database registration
• Clarifications and notices: request clarifications up to about one week before closing; addenda may be issued in writing.
