Overview

FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT FOR THE SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF LABORATORY REAGENTS FOR A PERIOD OF TWO (2) YEARS. The Embu County Government invites open national tenders for a two-year framework to supply laboratory reagents, with a closed panel of at least seven alternative vendors. Call-offs will be issued via purchase orders; no volume guarantees are implied. Deliveries are itemized to Embu County, and tender documents are downloadable from the county’s site and PPIP Portal; closing is 12 October 2026 at 11:00 AM.

Requirements

• Open eligibility; must not be debarred (PPRA) and comply with relevant Kenyan procurement laws.
• Compliance with tax obligations (tax clearance) and other regulatory registrations as required.
• If a joint venture is formed, all members are jointly and severally liable; JV agreement or letter of intent to execute one is required.
• No conflicts of interest; internal controls to avoid collusive or fraudulent practices.
• Manufacturer authorization if the tendered goods are not manufactured by the tenderer; local representation/maintenance capability in Kenya if needed.
• Goods and related services must meet Section VII Schedule of Requirements; substitutions allowed only if substantially equivalent or superior.
• Origin and conformity declarations as specified; ensure availability of spare parts and ongoing support.

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 12 October 2026 at 11:00 AM (hard/courier submission). Late tenders are rejected. (TENDER DOCUMENT)
• Submission method: hard/courier delivery of sealed tender to the Tender Box at Embu County Headquarters Procurement Block; include separate envelopes for ORIGINAL and COPIES; add any alternative tender if permitted.
• Documents to submit: Form of Tender, Price Schedules, Tender Security or Securing Declaration, Joint Venture documents (if applicable), Manufacturer Authorization (if required), evidence of eligibility and qualifications, conformity and origin declarations.
• Registrations/pre-qualifications: country/authority registrations as per TDS; tax clearance; consider CIDB or other local pre-qualifications as specified.
• Briefing session: pre-tender conference details (date/venue/mandatory) to be announced in the Tender Data Sheet; attendance may be optional unless stated.
