Overview

FRAMEWORK CONTRACT FOR HANDLING EMERGENCIES IN THE LOWER RIFT – NORTH RIFT REGION. KeNHA invites bids from NCA-registered contractors (Categories 5–7) for emergency-handling works funded via RMLF, with eligibility reserved for Youth under AGPO.

Who should bid: road/maintenance contractors with emergency-response capability, youth-owned firms, and those meeting the NCA and AGPO Youth criteria. Bidders must own specified plant (Motor Grader; Excavator/Backhoe/Wheel Loader; Tipper).

Requirements

• Copy of Certificate of Incorporation
• Copy of Valid NCA Annual Practising Licence (Classes 5–7)
• Copy of Valid Tax Compliance Certificate
• Copy of CR 12 (issued within last 6 months from tender opening)
• Copy of AGPO Registration – YOUTH category
• Serialise all tender pages (fresh numbering)
• Own the following equipment: Motor Grader (1); Excavator/Backhoe/Wheel Loader; Tipper (1)
• Additional: relevant similar experience, qualified personnel, current workload; max two tenders per bidder with only one awarded; directors’ restrictions; anti-collusion/canvassing prohibitions; NCA registration before contract award

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 16 July 2026 at 09:00.
• Submission method: sealed envelope or package clearly labeled with tender name and reference; to be deposited at the North Rift Regional Office Tender Box (Sugunanga Off Nairobi–Eldoret Highway) or to the Office of the Regional Director, North Rift (ElDORET) (Tender Document).
• Documents to submit: Form of Tender, priced Bills of Quantities, Tender Security or Tender-Securing Declaration, JV documents if applicable, authorization to sign, qualifications, technical proposal, and any other TDS-specified documents (JV agreement or letter of intent) (Tender Document).
• Registrations/pre-qualifications: NCA registration (required for award), AGPO Youth status, Tax Compliance, CR12; potential NCA registration before signature of contract (not a tender-condition) (Tender Document).
