Overview

The Procuring Entity seeks a framework contract for supply and delivery of surgical dressings and appliances (Part C). Open tender issued by Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) for suppliers of medical dressings and related appliances, with potential after-sale/related services. Bidders should be capable medical-supply firms, manufacturers or authorized distributors, including joint ventures, able to meet KNH’s technical and regulatory requirements and to provide installation, training, and initial maintenance as applicable. Requirements

• Eligibility: private entities, individuals, state-owned entities; JV allowed with joint and several liability; no public-officer participants; no conflicts of interest; Certificate of Independent Tender Determination may be required.
• Manufacturer authorization or local representation: evidence if not the manufacturer (Manufacturer’s Authorization or an agent with maintenance capability).
• Compliance and conformity: evidence that goods conform to Section VII Schedule of Requirements; detailed item-by-item descriptions, sources, and spare parts.
• Origin and local content: declarations of origin; certain items must be sourced from Kenya with no foreign substitutions (e.g., Kenya-origin items and those listed in the schedule).
• Regulatory and integrity: tax clearance; avoidance of debarment (PPRA), fraud/corruption declarations; JV integrity requirements.
• Documentation: Form of Tender, price schedules, tender security or secured declaration, JV agreements if applicable, and evidence of eligibility and conformity.
