Overview

GAUGE PLATES – open-tender to supply gauge plates (NR.4, 1000 mm x 100 mm x 1.6 mm mild steel plate) for the Department of Water and Sanitation. Bidders should be manufacturers/suppliers of mild steel plates or fabricated-metal products capable of delivering to the DWS site per the bid documents, and must meet tax and supplier eligibility requirements.

Requirements

• Tax compliance: SARS PIN and tax clearance; where applicable, provide a CSD number if no TCS.
• Supplier eligibility: not in the state service; complete declarations and supplier registration as required (SBD forms).
• Preference points: complete SBD 6.1 for 80/20 system; provide BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit (EME/QSE) and meet specific goals (Women, Disability, Youth, Location, BBBEE level).
• Pricing and documents: submit Firm Prices on the Pricing Schedule (SBD 3.1) and related bid documents; provide authority to sign.

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: closing date 15 October 2026 at 11:00 (RFQ closing). Submit via the official bid process; hand-deliver to the Bid Box as per bid documents (street address in the documents).
• Documents to submit: official bid forms (SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1) and Pricing Schedule (SBD 3.1); tax clearance or SARS PIN; CSD number if no TCS; BBBEE documentation; company details and signatory authority.
• Registrations: CSD and SARS requirements; supplier registration with DWS if not already registered (see Bid Document).
