Overview

Maintenance of General Mechanical Equipment at George Airport for 5 years under NEC3 Term Service Contract. The contract is with Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) for George Airport; bidders should have CIDB 4ME or higher and proven capability in general mechanical equipment maintenance (lifting equipment, automatic sliding doors, roller shutters, gates).

Requirements

• CIDB contractor grading of 4ME or higher.
• Demonstrated tax compliance: valid SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN (or CSD number) for each bidder (and each JV/subcontractor).
• OEM warranty adherence: procurements must respect OEM warranties; clearly indicate if lower-quality parts are used.
• Subcontracting only with written ACSA approval; contractor remains fully responsible for all works.
• Insurance: comply with applicable insurances (per C1.4 and Appendix 2); bidder should assess insurance needs; employer provides certain cover.
• Compliance with OH&S, SANS standards, and related legislation; maintenance to OEM requirements.
• Preference points: provide proof for B-BBEE and specific goals (e.g., black ownership, women-owned, disabilities).
• Functionality threshold: minimum 70/100 (Stage 3) based on company experience, key staff, and references.
