Overview

Upgrading of Theron and Fichat 11KV Switching Stations in George. George Municipality invites an open tender (GMT 037/25-26) for the upgrading project. Eligible bidders are CIDB-registered contractors (minimum 6EP), with documented experience on at least three 11kV indoor switchgear projects (min R5 million each) in the last 7 years, and a site agent with ORHVS authorised person certification and 5+ years of supervision experience.

Requirements

• Experience: at least three 11kV indoor switchgear projects (3+ panels) in the last 7 years, each valued at least R5 million.
• Key personnel: site agent with ORHVS authorised person certification; ≥5 years supervising electrical projects at 11kV.
• Tax/compliance: TCS PIN to be submitted with the tender; bidder to be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) if awarded.
• Additional: 80/20 evaluation (price 80, B-BBEE 20) under the relevant procurement policies.
• Tender documentation: non-refundable deposit of R450 per document; documents retrieved from the Engineer’s office or at a compulsory clarification meeting (see documents).
