Overview

GMT049/25-26 invites bids for the supply and delivery of building material for flood and fire emergencies, as and when required, for a period of three years from appointment (George Municipality). Suitable bidders are building-material suppliers with in-stock stock, SABS-approved products, capacity for 24-hour emergency delivery to George’s municipal storage, and the ability to establish/maintain a George-based warehouse with appropriate BBBEE compliance and pre-qualification.

Requirements

• All materials must be in stock and SABS approved.
• Pre-qualification: at least three contactable reference letters (similar work) and at least 10 years’ experience; written supplier agreement if not direct supplier.
• The successful bidder must establish and maintain a George-based warehouse within 30 days, with proof of address.
• Stock levels: all items in stock; minimum emergency-kits; delivery to Municipal storage facility within 24 hours; delivery notes and tax invoices required.
• Compliance and documentation: valid B-BBEE certificate; tax/compliance (TCS PIN or CSD number); POPIA/privacy standards; bids from state employees prohibited.
