Gravel Road Maintenance

Overview

• Gravel road grading and maintenance services including mechanical grading, reshaping of the road surface, water management and compaction for Postmasburg, Bloemfontein and De Aar depots, for six months on an as-and-when basis. Bidders should be civil-engineering/road-construction contractors with equipment and capacity to perform road works and to submit responses through Transnet's e-tender system.

Requirements

• Tax compliance with SARS (provide PIN and/or TCS; if part of a JV, each party must provide its own TCS/CSD; if no TCS, provide CSD number).
• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) if no TCS.
• Evidence of compliance with Employment Equity Act and BBEE status.
• Ability to submit pricing electronically via the Transnet eSupplier portal and provide required documents (SBD1, etc.).
• Acceptance of the Integrity Pact and Non-Disclosure obligations; attendance at compulsory RFQ briefing; ability to comply with security clearance if required.

• Key deadlines: questions by 09 November 2026 14:00; compulsory briefing 05 November 2026 10:00 (Teams); closing 12 November 2026 16:00.
• Submission method: electronic via the Transnet eSupplier Portal (esupplierportal.transnet.net/portal). Register or sign in, upload bid documents (max 30 MB per upload), ensure pricing in portal; do not submit paper pricing; submit well before closing.
• Required documents: electronic pricing schedule; SBD1; tax compliance PIN or CSD number; BBBEE proof; Annexures C (Non-Disclosure) and D (Supplier Integrity Pact); Annexure A for Scope of Work (refer to RFQ_template Gravel Road Grading and Maintenance.pdf).
• Pre-qualifications: SARS tax compliance; CSD registration; proof of BBBEE; DPIP/FPPO disclosures as applicable; security clearance if required.
• Briefing details: compulsory briefing on Teams, 05 November 2026 at 10:00; attendance mandatory; provide company details in chat.
