Overview

Procurement of a rugged Hand-Held X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) Mineral Analyzer to support field mineral analysis at iThemba LABS. Bidders should be suppliers of handheld XRF analyzers with capabilities matching the specification, and must be on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) and tax compliant.

Requirements

• Handheld XRF analyzer meeting the specified capabilities (25 mm² detector, 50 kV tube, 6-position filter wheel, 10–12 hour Li‑Ion battery, IP54/MIL‑STD‑810G ruggedness, 100,000 result storage, GPS/camera, ExTOPE/ cloud compatibility, etc.).
• Mandatory compliance documents: SBD 4 (Bidder disclosure) and SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim with BBBEE).
• Evidence of CSD registration and tax compliance; provide CSD Summary Report.
• 24‑month warranty and data sheet plus product brochures with full specs; pricing inclusive of VAT; delivery lead time specified.
• Evaluation will use 80/20 price/BBEE scoring; PPPFA compliance applies.
