Overview

Procurement is for the hire of a 20-ton long-arm excavator for housekeeping at Velddrif WWTW. Suitable for service providers with heavy-equipment hire experience, with the following expectations: Komatsu PC 200 (2009 or newer) or equivalent, net power ≥110 kW, reach 13–15 m, sieve/skeleton bucket preference; include operator and transport documentation; available within 5 working days; pricing must cover machine, operator, fuel, security, and related costs, plus a 10 m3 tipper truck for adjacent transfer station.

Requirements

• Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration with a CSD number; Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN required.
• Tax and BBBEE: Tax clearance status, VAT registration; submit an original B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit.
• Quotation validity: 120 days; prices must be fixed and VAT-inclusive.
• Compliance documents: MBD forms 1, 3.2, 4, 6.1, 7.1, 8, 9, 10; GCC; Declaration of Interests.
• References: minimum three contactable references for similar work in last five years.
• Additional bid docs: recent municipal accounts for company and directors; proof of truck/operator documents (Natis, licenses); no submissions from state officials.
• Delivery/penalties: five-day delivery window; penalties of R1,000 per day after the fifth day.
• Locality/BBBEE points: evaluated under the 80/20 system (price 80, BBBEE 10, locality 10).
