Overview

The Department of Health seeks bids for the supply and delivery of contraceptives and hormone modulating agents for the period ending 30 September 2029. Target bidders are pharmaceutical manufacturers or accredited distributors with Medicines Registration Certificates, GMP/compliance, SA tax and supplier registrations, and B-BBEE eligibility.

Requirements

• Mandatory registrations and compliance: CSD MA… number, SARS Tax Clearance PIN, CIPC certificate (and director changes where applicable), VAT as relevant.
• Bidding documents: SBD1, PBD3 (bid signature authorisation), PBD4.1 (bidder contact details), PBD9.1 or PBD9.2 (entity director details), SBD4 (disclosure), SBD6.1 (preference points), GMP declarations (PBD5), NIP (SBD5) and related authorisations, PBD11 (solvency).
• Product/licensing: Valid Medicine Registration Certificates (MRC), Licence to Manufacture/Import (LICMI), and other relevant licenses for medicines and devices as applicable.
• Evaluation and goals: 90/10 preference (price vs. specific goals) with B-BBEE status evidenced by SANAS certificate or sworn affidavits (QSE/EME as applicable).
• Additional: Documentation covering third-party sourcing (PBD1) if applicable.
