IFRS (INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL REPORTING STANDARDS) TECHNICAL ACCOUNTING ADVISORY SERVICES FOR PetroSA

Overview

IFRS Technical Accounting Advisory Services for PetroSA is being procured to provide ad hoc and recurring IFRS advisory support across upstream oil & gas accounting topics (IFRS policy development, memoranda, impairment, leases, financial instruments, business combinations, foreign currency, etc.). Bidders should be professional accounting/advisory firms with extensive IFRS experience, specialist upstream E&P knowledge, and proven ability to provide independent technical opinions accepted by external auditors.

Requirements

• Extensive IFRS financial reporting experience with upstream oil & gas accounting; experience advising international upstream E&P companies and listed entities.
• Capability to deliver technical memoranda, position papers, accounting policy updates, training, and external audit support; knowledge of reserves-based accounting and multi-jurisdiction transactions; independent technical opinions.
• Access to senior IFRS specialists; continuity of resources; confidentiality and conflicts of interest management.
• Engagement terms: initial 36 months with two 12-month renewal options; governance with an engagement lead and periodic status reporting.
• Exclusions: not statutory external audit, internal audit (unless separately commissioned), tax compliance, or legal opinions.
