Overview

Manufacture, Assemble, Supply and Delivery of Lead Shielding Subsystem Components to NRF-iThemba LABS, Cape Town, Faure. Bidders should have metal fabrication, precision machining and assembly capabilities, with CSD registration and BBBEE compliance, to produce and deliver the shielding components and hardware.

Requirements

• Mandatory CSD registration and tax compliance verification.
• Completion and submission of SBD 4 (Bidder’s Disclosure) and SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim) with BBBEE documentation.
• Pricing must be supplied via the Pricing Schedule, prices (incl. VAT) valid for at least 60 days, and PPPFA 80/20 rules apply.
• Delivery period must be firm; payment terms are 30 days from receipt of invoice; consideration of payment guarantees for advance payments if offered.
• Ability to supply the listed components (lead shields and related hardware) as per the attached data pack; CAD data available on request.
• Submit responses by closing date (see How to Apply) and to the indicated email addresses.

• Deadline: Closing 14 October 2026 at 11:00 (no intermediate questions deadline noted).
• Submission method: Email RFQ response to scm@ilabs.nrf.ac.za and cm.thenjwayo@ilabs.nrf.ac.za (as per RFQ).
• Documents to submit: Pricing Schedule; SBD 4; SBD 6.1 with BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; CSD Summary Report; any other mandatory forms referenced in the RFQ (e.g., as applicable).
• Pre-qualifications: Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) is compulsory; tax compliance verification may be required.
• Pricing and scope: Refer to the Pricing Schedule in the RFQ document (26-107_108 – RFQ Lead Shielding Components rev0.0) for the 8 itemized parts and delivery charge; CAD drawings/data pack available on request.
