Overview

Procurement of the installation of a 2.4 m clear view fencing at Dawid Kruiper Nursery, Upington, for contractors with CIDB 2SQ or higher. The contract covers removal of the existing fence and the supply, installation and finishing of 313 meters of high-security galvanized fencing, including posts, foundations, and associated labor (per TN041/2026 Specification).

Requirements

• CIDB 2SQ (or higher) compulsory (4.1).
• Manufacturer brochure proving the supplied fencing product (7.2).
• Proof of National Treasury Central Suppliers Database (CSD) registration (3.6).
• Tax compliance: SARS Tax Compliance Status or PIN; pre-award questionnaire for foreign bidders if applicable (Section 2, Part B).
• Locality points: evidence of local office within Dawid Kruiper and proof of local ownership/lease or sworn affidavit; municipal account not older than 3 months or lease (Table 1, MBD 6.1).
• Delivery and site performance: start on site within 14 days of appointment; construction period not to exceed 2 months; contractor responsible for transport and safekeeping of materials; remove existing fence to municipal stores (7.5, 7.9, 7.6, 7.4.4).
• Insurance and performance security: full insurance; performance security within 30 days of award (11.1, 7.1–7.3).
• Warranty: 12 months on goods after delivery and acceptance, or 18 months from shipment, plus 12-month defect liability (15.1–15.5).
• Pricing and payment: firm prices, VAT-inclusive, valid 120 days; payment within 30 days of invoice/delivery note (5.3; 16.3).
• Compliance with GCC and bid documentation: complete MBD 1, MBD 4, MBD 6.1, MBD 7.1, MBD 8, MBD 9; submission on official forms (3.4, 2. Submission guidelines).

• Submission deadline: Friday 02 October 2026 at 14:00; sealed bids to Dawid Kruiper Municipality tender box (Upington). Late bids not accepted (1.1–1.3; Section C).
• Submission method: original signed documents on official forms (no fax/email) (3.3).
• Documents to submit: completed MBD forms (MBD 1, 4, 6.1, 7.1, 8, 9) and supporting documents (CIDB proof, manufacturer brochure, CSD/TCS, municipal account/lease, proof of local office) (3.4).
