Overview

The Kiambu County Government invites sealed bids for installation of culverts and drainage works across 12 wards (12 lots) in Kiambu. The works span Kalimoni, Kahawa Sukari, Kahawa Wendani, Kara i, Ndarugu, Riabai, Mwioko, Uthiru, Nachu, Thika Town, Hospital, and Ikinu wards. Open to qualified civil works contractors; bidders may tender for ONE or TWO lots only (bidding more than two gets disqualified). Tender is a Small Works procurement with bids in Kenyan Shillings.

Requirements

• Eligibility and boundaries: tenderers may bid individually or as a JV (maximum 2 members); public officers and close relatives are ineligible; no conflicts of interest; not debarred; must meet nationality and other ITT criteria; foreign bidders must source at least 40% of inputs from Kenyan suppliers.
• Regulatory/registration: must be registered with the National Construction Authority (before contract award) and possess valid tax clearance; comply with PPRA and Competition Act requirements.
• Tender package: submit Form of Tender, priced Bill of Quantities, Tender-Securing Declaration or Tender Security, Joint Venture Agreement (or letter of intent), authorization to sign, and documentary evidence of qualifications.
• Financials: tenders must be in Kenyan Shillings; include taxes; tender validity is 126 days; price adjustments governed by the TDS if applicable.
• Other: single or joint tender formats; page serialization of all tender documents; site inspection may be encouraged; pre-tender details depend on the TDS.
