Overview

Open tender for installation of culverts and drainage works across 11 wards in Kiambu County (Kalimoni, Kahawa Sukari, Karai, Nachu, Thika Township, Hospital, Ikinu, Ndenderu, Githiga, Ngewa, Mang’u). Eligible bidders are civil works/joint-venture teams; you may bid for ONE or TWO lots only (bidding more than two lots results in disqualification). JV max 2 members. Requirements

• National open competition; bids in Kenya Shillings; 91-day tender validity.
• Tender Security or Tender-Securing Declaration required.
• JV allowed up to 2 members (if a JV, a representative must be nominated).
• Eligible firms must meet ITT/Section III criteria; tax clearance (Kenya), PPRA debarment check, and NCA registration before award.
• Foreign bidders must source at least 40% of inputs from local suppliers/contractors.
• No conflict of interest; declarations on corruption and independent tender determination required.
• 40% local content rule and environment/sustainability considerations apply.
• Site visit and pre-tender meeting details: none (as per TDS).

• Deadline: 29 September 2026 at 10:00 AM; late tenders rejected.
• Submission method: hard-copy, sealed tenders delivered to Kiambu Headquarters ground floor, main reception (Governor’s Boardroom). No electronic submission.
