INSTALLATION OF REPLACEMENT OF DAMAGED ELECTRICAL WORKS TO VARIOUS PROPERTIES OF MOSSEL BAY MUNICIPALITY

Overview

Installation or replacement of damaged electrical works at Mossel Bay Municipality properties for a 3-year contract. Tenders are invited from ECB-registered contractors with CIDB 2 EB or higher, who have a Master Installation Electrician, CIDB registration, and a local maintenance team in the Mossel Bay area; also require SARS tax clearance and related statutory compliance.

Requirements

• ECB registration proof; CIDB EB 2+;Master Installation Electrician; CIDB registration.
• Local Mossel Bay area maintenance team; CIDB/JV requirements as applicable.
• Tax clearance (SARS PIN) and compliance with statutory requirements; CSD registration anticipated.
• Health and safety: Health and Safety File within 14 days after award; Pro Forma Risk Assessment on site; PPE on site; potential OHS penalty provisions.
• Evaluation: functionality pass = 48/60; plus 80/20 (or 90/10) preferences for locality and B-BBEE; locality proofs required (see below).
• Documents and opening: original bid document, signed, with all MBD forms; no fax/email submissions; bid validity 120 days; price documents to include VAT.

• Submission deadline: 27 November 2026 at 12:00. Submissions must be in a sealed envelope to Mossel Bay Town Hall tender box or posted; late, email, or fax submissions are not accepted. (see 42-2026-2027 TENDER DOCUMENT.pdf)
• Documents to complete/submit: complete original bid document with authorized signatory; MBD1, MBD4, MBD5, MBD6.1, MBD8, MBD9; tax clearance; CIDB proof; SARS pin; proof of locality; JV documents if applicable; sign-off resolutions for signatories. Post-award H&S file due within 14 days.
• Registrations: CIDB and ECB registrations required (proof to be submitted with bid); register on Central Supplier Database if not already.
• Price and documents: tender documents available for R280 per set (or free via Mossel Bay website); hard copy or EFT arrangements via esnyders at the City (see doc for details) (see 42-2026-2027 TENDER DOCUMENT.pdf).
• Briefing/site meetings: not required per advert; if any briefing is specified elsewhere, attendance is mandatory for all JV partners (per general tender rules).
