Overview

This RFQ is for the installation of solar panels and mounting of steel structure stands at Ntsikeni Nature Reserve, EKZNW. Bidders should have CIDB contractor grading of 1EB or higher and relevant solar PV/structural installation capabilities; focus on public-sector projects in KwaZulu-Natal.

Requirements

• CIDB grading 1EB or higher (Phase 2). Joint ventures must ensure each member is CIDB-registered; lead partner must hold 1EB+.
• Tax and supplier compliance: adhere to SARS requirements, provide a Tax Compliance Status PIN or CSD number; ensure tax matters are in order.
• Central Suppliers Database (CSD) registration; proof to be submitted.
• B-BBEE: provide applicable verification or sworn affidavit to qualify for preference points; evidence required for specific goals.
• Mandatory briefing: 13 August 2026 at 11:00 at Ntsikeni Nature Reserve (refer page 15 for mandatory requirements).
• Attendance at briefing must be recorded; non-attendance may disqualify.
• Bids must be submitted as a single PDF via email before the closing time; only one email accepted (no multiple emails).
• Official bid forms to be completed (SBD1, SBD4, SBD6.1, etc.) and attached as part of the submission.
• Additional controls: compliance with PFMA, SCM regulations, CIDB status maintained through the process.
