Overview

The Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources seeks a service provider to render 24/7 Security Guarding Services at the Limpopo Regional Office, Polokwane, for a 24‑month period. Bidders should be qualified security providers capable of 24/7 coverage, with PSIRA registration, armed guards (Grade C), firearm licenses, and compliant with SAC/OS requirements (COIDA, Tax clearance) as well as able to meet MISS/MPSS security standards. The tender is open (non‑electronic submission), with a compulsory briefing and a formal evaluation process.

Requirements

• Company PSIRA registration with electronically verifiable status; directors with Grade A/B and security officers with Grade C (QR code verification).
• Firearm competency/licenses for the company and security officers (valid within six months of closing).
• PSIRA Good Standing for the company and COIDA (Department of Labour) good standing letter.
• Tax compliance: SARS PIN/TCS; if no TCS, provide CSD number; proposer must be in good tax standing.
• Security personnel and coverage: 2 armed guards per day shift (06:00–18:00) and 2 armed guards per night shift (18:00–06:00) with Grade C PSIRA; 24/7 access control and patrol duties; incident reporting and investigative capability.
• Attendance at the compulsory briefing session and adherence to contractual and security‑related standards (MISS/MPSS).
