Overview

Invitation of suitably qualified service providers to participate in the RFI process for PV (photovoltaic) systems at Armscor Head Office. Armscor seeks market intelligence and capability for turnkey PV solutions (design, supply, installation and commissioning) at Armscor HQ, to assess feasibility, options, indicative costs, risks and lead times, and to inform future procurement.

Requirements

• Possess a valid Armscor Facility Security Clearance (FSC) Confidential or higher; supply a certified copy (or indicate willingness to apply for FSC if not held).
• Provide evidence of company experience: at least two client references for similar services with completed projects and operational plants.
• Be OEM of the solar PV technology or an accredited agent; supply OEM confirmation if applicable.
• Have an ECSA-accredited professional engineer to sign off all installations.
• Attend compulsory site visits/viewings on 07 July 2026 and 12 August 2026 at Armscor HQ Canteen.
• Demonstrate quality management and staff training capabilities; develop and implement a QA plan aligned to Armscor requirements.
• Show compliance with relevant PV standards for inverters and associated equipment (examples include SANS/IEC 62109-1, -2; NRS 097-2-1; SANS 60947 family; SANS 60269; SANS 62930; SANS 62852).
• Confirm ability to provide detailed data access for each component (inverter, BESS, CMS, etc.).

• Closing: 25 August 2026 at 11:00 (RFI/02/2026).
• Submission: Hard copies to the Tender Box, Armscor Building, 370 Nossob Street, Pretoria; PDFs or MS Word, with at least one master paper copy and one master electronic copy. Confidentiality: information is company confidential and the project is restricted.
