Overview

Provision of short-term insurance services for a period of three years, with related IT/SCM system tenders (KMLM2026-009 and KMLM2026-010) issued by Kagisano-Molopo Local Municipality. Open-tender bids are invited from insurers/brokers with proven short-term insurance experience and from vendors capable of delivering associated municipal ICT/SCM solutions.

Requirements

• Mandatory registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and valid tax clearance.
• Demonstrated track record for short-term insurance; relevant qualifications, professional affiliations, and experience; and accreditation evidence for insurance professionals (KMLM2026-008 has specific weights: 25/35/15/25).
• For KMLM2026-009 and KMLM2026-010: proven experience in municipal/SCM process enhancement, MSCOA-related systems, and related implementation/training capabilities (weights vary by bid).
• Bid documents require a non-refundable fee (R1,050) and must be obtained from the Budget and Treasury Office.
• Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes to the tender box at Kagisano-Molopo offices (no late bids); bids opened in public.
• Adjudication in accordance with MFMA, PFMA, and the municipality’s SCM policy (and MFMA Circular No 81 on CSD registration).

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 16 July 2026 at 12:00; submit sealed bids to the tender box at the Municipal Offices (Next to Ganyesa Clinic). Bids opened publicly.
• Submission method: Sealed bids clearly marked with the respective Bid Number (KMLM2026-008, -009, -010).
• Documents to complete and submit: Obtain bid documents from Budget and Treasury Office (hours listed in advert); submit in accordance with the bid documents (see advert nb.pdf..pdf). The portal advert is also available on etender.gov.za.
• Required registrations/pre-qualifications: Central Supplier Database registration and tax matters in order (CSD link provided in advert); evidence of qualifications/experience as required per each bid.
