Overview

Invitation to bid for repairs, maintenance and calibration of medical equipment for the Eastern Cape Department of Health Facilities for 36 months. It is aimed at OEMs and/or accredited service vendors (ASVs) capable of repairing, calibrating and maintaining medical equipment across eight districts, supplying spares and consumables, and providing on-site support as required.

Requirements

• OEM or accredited service provider status; able to repair, calibrate, and supply spares/accessories; service across eight districts; OEM/ASV coverage for the equipment offered.
• Accreditation and personnel: complete Accreditation Schedule; Annexure B (equipment coverage per model); Annexure C (clinical engineers/technicians with manufacturer certificates, resumes, and minimum 3 years’ relevant experience; minimum 3 references).
• Administrative/compliance: registration on Central Supplier Database (CSD); SARS Tax Compliance Status (PIN or TCS); separate TCS for each JV/partner; returnable forms including SBD 4 (Declaration of Interests) and SBD 6.1 (Preference Points); JV/consortium requirements if applicable.
• Pricing/contract terms: prices inclusive of VAT (15%); 12-month price validity; use of ROE for foreign-content pricing; complete Schedule F (Pricing) and related returnable schedules; DDPer terms (DDP) and potential for price adjustments via ROE; maintain transparency in pricing.
• Contract formation: sign SBD 7 contract form; authorization declarations if third parties are involved; potential due diligence and fronting checks; compliance with GCC/SCC and special conditions.
