Overview

Invitation to submit an Expression of Interest from CIDB Grade 2EB/2EP or higher to prequalify as competent contractors for Electrical Engineering Works-Building/Infrastructure (including emergency procurement), as and when required, for the Eastern Cape Department of Education for a period of three years. The process aims to build a prequalified database of electrical contractors who can be invited to tender for ECDOE projects. Eligible bidders must hold an active CIDB designation (2EB/EP or higher), a valid Electrical Trade Test Certificate and wireman’s license, be registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) with a tax-compliance PIN, and meet other prerequisites. Requirements

• CIDB designation: 2EB/2EP or higher (active status) and CIDB verification
• Electrical qualifications: Electrical Trade Test Certificate and wireman’s license
• Tax/compliance: SARS PIN for tax status; CSD registration; CIPRO (where applicable)
• Registration on official platforms: National Treasury CSD; CIDB status validated
• Documentation: Complete official forms; no correction-fluid on documents; returnable schedules and annexures; SBD 4 and compulsory enterprise questionnaire
• Eligibility: No tender defaulters; no joint ventures for this EOI; submissions must be on official forms in a sealed envelope
