Overview

INVITATION TO SUBMIT AN OFFER FOR THE PURCHASE AND REMOVAL OF SCRAP 1x 20MVA TRANSFORMER AT SEBOKA SUBSTATION. Eskom is seeking a bidder capable of purchasing, collecting, transporting and safely removing a scrapped 20MVA transformer, with site cleanup and hazardous-material considerations (oil/containment, OHSA/compliance). Eligible bidders include investment-recovery/scrap metal operators, electrical-equipment dismantlers and hazardous-waste transporters with the capacity to execute on Eskom’s site at Seboka Substation within Eskom’s disposal and e-auction framework.

Requirements

• Valid SARS Tax Clearance Certificate and tax-compliance documentation; VAT considerations as applicable.
• Registration on National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) and proof of current registration.
• BBBEE status disclosure or verification certificate.
• Secondhand Goods certificate from SAPS or licensed supplier.
• SBD 4 (Bidder’s Disclosure) and Integrity Pact Declaration.
• Authority to Submit tender and company identification documents (CIPRO/Company registration, copies of directors’ IDs).
• E-auction training acknowledgement form; evidence of e-auction readiness.
• Proof of COID/Good standing with compensation fund; OHSA/SHEQ readiness (OHS plan, BRA, etc.).
• Technical/operational documentation: technical inventory list and method statement; compliant with environmental/oil-handling requirements (Environmental Waste Management Licence or equivalent for hazardous waste transport).
• Note: Tenderers must not rely on 100% sub-contracting; must meet site-safety and OHSA obligations; sale is Voetstoots with payment terms defined in the tender.
