Overview

Purchase, collection and removal of scrap 1x 20 MVA transformer at Malelane Substation. Open to bidders with capability in dismantling/removal of electrical equipment, scrap handling, on-site cleanup and safe transport of transformers, plus compliance with Eskom tender rules, OH&S, and BBBEE requirements.

Requirements

• Eligibility: compliance with Tender Data and not under any restriction to do business with Eskom; no 100% subcontracting.
• Mandatory tender returnables: Offer to Purchase form; SARS Tax Clearance; BBBEE certificate or affidavits; Secondhand goods certificate (SAPS); SBD 4; Integrity Pact; E-auction training acknowledgement; CIPRO registration; IDs of directors; SARS tax clearance (or equivalent); National Treasury CSD registration; COID standing; Authority to submit; Technical inventory and method statements.
• SHEQ and compliance: Eskom health/safety requirements, COID/Good Standing, OHS policy, baseline risk assessment and OHS plan, training certificates (first aider, fire fighting, crane operator, risk assessment), site access permits, and second-hand dealer/recycler registrations.
• Scope of work specifics: safe collection/removal of 1x20 MVA transformer, site cleanup, oil-spill remediation, and adherence to OHSA and environmental requirements.
• Viewing/clarification: non-compulsory site viewing with PPE required (see document for details).
