Overview

The Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) invites bids for the supply and installation of IT Wire Centre UPSs and batteries at OR Tambo International Airport. Suitable bidders are those with CIDB grading 4EP/EB or higher and proven capability in UPS systems, rectifiers, inverters and batteries, with experience in IT wire centre environments and commissioning.

Requirements

• CIDB grading of 4EP/EB or higher.
• Demonstrated functionality: minimum 88/100 across a) personnel qualifications, b) company experience, c) product functionality (OEM support, spares availability, modular/static UPS features).
• Evidence of relevant personnel (site manager, electrician, safety officer) and SAQA‑approved qualifications; non‑duplication of personnel.
• Three or more client references for UPS/rectifier installations or maintenance; letters from clients only.
• OEM support letter, spare-part availability, and product brochures showing modular and static UPS features, FAT readiness.
• Tax compliance: SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN (or CSD number) for all bidders; separate PINs for JVs/sub-contractors.
• B‑BBEE proof to claim preference points; include SANAS‑accredited certificate or sworn affidavit; if JV, consolidated certificate.
• Non‑compulsory online clarification site visit; attendance signed in the attendance list.
• Tender offers must be on official forms; set validity (12 weeks); comply with CIDB and tender data requirements.

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 18 September 2026 at 12:00 (closing time in RFQ document).
• Submission method: printed bid (1 original + 1 copy), sealed envelopes clearly marked; plus electronic copy on USB; bid box delivery to the stated ACSA address.
• Documents to complete: Form of Offer and Acceptance (C1.1), Contract Data (C1.2), Securities (C1.3), Pricing data (C2), Works Information/Scope (C3), Site Information (C4), plus T2 Returnable Documents; SBD/tax forms as applicable.
• Pre-qualifications: CIDB 4EP/EB; Tax Compliance Status; CSD number if no TCS PIN.
• Briefing/clarifications: Non‑compulsory site visit (online); clarification deadline 28 August 2026; addenda up to 10 working days before closing.
