Overview

Procurement of theoretical and practical training on Ultra-High Vacuum (UHV) systems for two Mechanical Technicians. Training must combine classroom and extensive hands-on instruction using equipment equivalent to iThemba LABS’ UHV systems; bidders should have demonstrated UHV/industrial training experience, a capable training facility, and relevant certifications (SBD, SBD 6.1, B-BBEE).

Requirements

• Evidence of similar training delivered in the past three years.
• Fully equipped training facility capable of practical vacuum training.
• Minimum three years’ proven experience in specialised training on industrial and Ultra-High Vacuum systems.
• Complete and submit mandatory RFQ documentation (SBD 4 disclosure; SBD 6.1 preference points) and pricing.
• Provide a CSD Summary Report; ensure tax compliance status is verifiable.
• Pricing must be VAT-inclusive, valid for 60 days from closing date; certain payment terms apply.
• PPPFA/BBEE compliance and related verification if applicable.

• Include: Pricing Schedule (RFQ Ultra High Vacuum Training System.pdf) and completed SBD 4 and SBD 6.1 forms.
• Attach evidence of: similar training in last 3 years, fully equipped training facility, and minimum 3 years’ UHV training experience (RFQ Ultra High Vacuum Training System.pdf).
• Register on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and provide CSD summary; include tax PIN status.
• Deliverables/lead time: training to be completed before PO-due date; date goods/services required: 1 week after PO (from the RFQ documents).
• Payment terms: 30 days from date of receipt of invoice; advance payments require a bank guarantee (as applicable).
