Overview

RFQ for the fabrication, supply, delivery and installation of curved display platforms for Iziko's Amanzi eAfrica exhibition. Bidders should have proven experience in high-quality carpentry/display projects in public environments, with at least five similar projects in the past five years, and be able to take on site measurements and comply with OHS and procurement requirements (see attached RFQ documents).

Requirements

• Proven experience: at least five similar carpentry/display projects in the last five years.
• Compulsory site visit and on-site verification of dimensions prior to fabrication.
• Complete fabrication and installation of freestanding curved platforms, including structural framing, curved edges, trap doors, internal shelves, integrated seating, and graphics finishes.
• Provide shop drawings and, where relevant, a 3D reference model; confirm all dimensions on site.
• Health and safety: sign and implement Annexure B written agreement and comply with OHS requirements; provide Health & Safety documentation.
• Administrative/compliance: current CSD report with active tax status; SARS TCS PIN; BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; SBD 4 and SBD 6.1; detailed pricing; portfolio and references.
• Delivery deadlines: adhere to project schedule (start 5 Oct 2026; onsite 14 Oct 2026; complete by 5 Nov 2026; 80% installed by 29 Oct 2026).

• Method: email submission; ensure all pages/forms are completed.
• Documents to submit: completed Request to Quote; SBD 4; SBD 6.1; CSD report; SARS TCS PIN; BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; detailed pricing; Annexure A (signed) and Annexure B (OHSA) as applicable; visual portfolio; references.
• Pre-qualifications: CSD active; tax status; valid BBBEE status; on-time submission of all compliance docs.
• Site visit: compulsory; Iziko South African Museum, 25 Queen Victoria Street, Cape Town; attend to take measurements and assess installation conditions (Annexure A).
