Overview

Procurement of specialised exhibition installation and picture-hanging services for Iziko Museums’ heritage exhibitions, including mounting of artworks, textiles, and AV components. Suitable bidders are service providers with proven experience in hanging small to large framed works, oversized/complex installations, and the design/fabrication of mounts, plus capability to work at Iziko sites (ISANG and IGC), supply all materials, handle travel, and meet heritage-site safety standards. Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in: A) hanging small to large framed works; B) installing oversized or complex artworks; C) design, fabrication, and delivery of mounts.
• Availability for ISANG: five 9am–4pm days between 1–20 August; dates set with curator.
• Availability for IGC: 20 days over 21 July–27 November; non-invasive installation methods (no drilling/permanent fixings).
• Deliverables include site assessment, planning, coordination, handling, installation, transport, and on-site labour.
• Materials and labour supplied by bidder; travel/accommodation costs included.
• Compliance documents: Central Supplier Database, tax verification, BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, SBD 6.1, SBD 4, completed RFQ submission, verifiable technical capability, and six+ years’ experience with high-value heritage objects (two client references).
• Price-driven evaluation with 80/20 preference scoring; adherence to procurement rules and no disqualifying conflicts.
• Quotations valid for 60 days from closing date.
