Overview

Procurement of L’AGULHAS Substation Switchgear Service (construction tender) for Cape Agulhas Municipality. The contract targets electrical contractors with CIDB 1 EP or higher (joint ventures allowed) to provide switchgear service at the L’Agulhas Substation. Bidders must be CIDB-registered, provide a Tax Compliance PIN, and comply with CIDB/SS enquiries; joint ventures may bid together.

Requirements

• CIDB eligibility: CIDB contractor grading designation of 1 EP or higher, or joint venture with combined designation ≥ 1 EP; all JV members CIDB-registered.

• Functionality: minimum 80% functionality; 5+ similar projects in last 10 years required for full marks (Schedule 1D).
• Additional: attendance at compulsory clarification meeting (15 July 2026); no alternative tenders; no telegraphic/e-mail submissions; adherence to tender rules and evaluation criteria.

• Submission deadline: 24 July 2026 at 12:00. Submissions must be in a sealed envelope and placed in the Tender Box at 1 Dirkie Uys Street, Bredasdorp, or posted to the Municipal address (Cape Agulhas Municipality, PO Box 51, Bredasdorp).
