Overview

SAFCOL seeks a supplier to lease a forklift at Timbadola Sawmill for three months. The RFQ (RFQ/TIM/272/2026) targets forklift providers with capable equipment (min 4,000 kg lift, up to 5,000 kg, 3,500 mm lift height, side shift, four-wheel drive) and the ability to operate on 80% gravel, dusty/muddy, uneven terrain. Relevant bidders should have appropriate certifications (B-BBEE SANAS certificate or EME/QSE sworn affidavit) and be compliant with tax and supplier databases.

Requirements

• Forklift capacity: minimum 4,000 kg; maximum 5,000 kg; lifting height to 3,500 mm; side shift; four-wheel drive with differential lock; minimum ground clearance 350 mm.
• Site conditions: 80% gravel, dust/mud, undulating terrain.
• Safety features: interior fire extinguisher, rotating beacon, headlights with reverse signaling, side and rear-view mirrors.
• Deliverables: fully completed RFQ, official quotation on company letterhead, latest Tax Clearance, SANAS B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit (EME/QSE), CSD report or MAAX number, ID copies of company directors.
• Compliance and evaluation: Administrative compliance, mandatory requirements (capacity spec, ground clearance with supporting docs), and price plus specific goals evaluation (80/20 system; minimum 51% Black Ownership for 20 points; price up to 80 points; other goals if claimed).
• Documentation/verification: Original or copy of registration documents; SBD forms; proof of tax matters; B-BBEE documentation; CSD registration; director IDs.
