Overview

Procurement of rewinding 36 stators and performing all electrical tests on the electrical locomotive Class 15E/19E for Transnet Engineering Durban, on a six-month, as-and-when-required basis. Open to suitably qualified vendors with electrical/mechanical capability in large traction-motor stator rewinding and AC traction testing; must meet tax, procurement, and BBBEE/compliance requirements and sign the Master Agreement.

Requirements

• Tax compliance: provide SARS PIN for verification; submit CSD number if no TCS; ensure SARS compliance for all parties in a joint venture.
• Supplier registrations: self-register on the Central Supplier Database (CSD); foreign suppliers may have different requirements.
• BBBEE: include BBBEE status certificate or sworn affidavit; compliance with B-BBEE Act.
• Capability: proven ability to rewind 15E/19E stators (36 stators) and perform all electrical tests per the ERM_NAT_SOW_2009 scope of work; adherence to Transnet’s master agreement and annexed technical specifications.
• Documentation: submit SBD forms, Annexures A–H, site attendance certificate, clarification forms, and pricing schedules; acknowledge confidentiality and security provisions.
• Risk/contract: comply with Master Agreement terms (ownership, warranties, indemnities, penalties, force majeure, IP, confidentiality, insurances, dispute resolution).
• Site/briefing: attend compulsory formal briefing/site meeting; provide attendance certificate if required.
