Overview

The procurement is for long-distance transport of personnel from Kriel to Kendal Power Station for a period of 5 years. Bidders should be transport-service providers with fleet capacity and track record in passenger movement, and must meet Eskom eligibility criteria (no sanctions, not more than one tender, joint-venture liability, no conflict of interest). The Tender also imposes gatekeeper and safety requirements (Taxi Association affiliation and BNRC) and requires completion of mandatory tender returnables (Annexures A–K) via Eskom E-Tendering.

Requirements

• Eligibility as per Tender Data (no Eskom restrictions, not on sanction lists, not submitting multiple tenders, joint venture liability, no conflict of interest).
• Gatekeepers: affiliation to the relevant Taxi Association and BNRC.
• Vehicles and drivers: vehicles not older than 3 years at inspection, under 150,000 km, no jockey/folding seats, 3-point seat belts; driver with >=3 years’ experience and valid Professional Driver Permit; proof of ownership; passenger-liability insurance.
• Documentation: submission of mandatory returnables (SBD forms 1, 4, 6.1, 6.2 where applicable) and Annexures A–K; NEC3 TSC3; documents submitted in PDF (price list in PDF and Excel).
• Site attendance: compulsory clarification/ site-visit meeting with ID and PPE requirements.
• Tender validity: 150 days from closing date.
