Overview

Procurement of Loss adjuster services to investigate and settle repudiated public liability claims for Johannesburg Water. Bid should be considered by loss adjusters with a Higher Certificate in Short Term Insurance (AIISA/FIISA) and ILASA affiliation; must be registered on CSD, hold a valid BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, and provide related qualifications and certifications.

Requirements

• Minimum qualifications and affiliation: Higher Certificate in Short Term Insurance (AIISA/FIISA) and ILASA membership.
• Mandatory submissions: full BOQ/spec completion; attendance at compulsory site briefing (if applicable); attach datasheets, references, proof of certification/accreditation; include JV agreements if applicable.
• Compliance: no bids from persons in the service of the state; not blacklisted; quotes in PDF on company letterhead; include BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; provide CSD/MAAA supplier number; complete MBD forms (MBD 3.1, 4, 6.1, 8, 9); include lease/municipal account not older than 3 months.
• Evaluation: PPPFA 2022 with price and specific goals; price weight 80/20 (or 90/10 as per organ of state guidance); all taxes included.
• Scope and duration: Loss adjuster to assess liability, quantify losses, verify insurable interest, negotiate settlements, and deliver detailed reports; duration 12 months; work to be completed within 2–4 weeks of appointment.
