Overview

Maintenance, Calibration and Ad Hoc Repair of fourteen (14) Provincial Weighbridges for a period of five (5) years. Open-tender seeking service providers with calibration, maintenance and ad-hoc repair capabilities for provincial weighbridges and related instrumentation (terminal hardware, software, load cells, printers, protection systems, water pumps, etc.) across KwaZulu-Natal. Suitable bidders should have instrumentation/maintenance expertise and be able to price for a 5-year period.

Requirements

• Registration on the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and tax compliance (SARS PIN/TCS). If no TCS PIN, provide CSD number; each party in a joint venture must have separate TCS/CSD where applicable. Do not bid if you or directors are in state service. (Section D, E; Part 2.3–2.7)
• Compulsory official briefing session/site inspection (22 Oct 2026, 09:00, 172 Burger Street, Pietermaritzburg). (Section F)
• Complete and sign official bidding forms (SBD1, SBD3.3 Pricing Schedule, SBD4 Disclosure, SBD6.1 Preferences, etc.), and sign a contract if awarded (SBD7). (Sections A–J)
• Compliance with Treasury/SCM/GCC/SCC and any special conditions; inclusion of full documentation and signatures; no alterations without initials. (Sections B, K)
• Preference points: 80/20 system (price vs. specific goals) with 20 points for specific goals (promotion of SA-owned enterprises and EME/QSE ownership). (Section I)
