Overview

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality invites bids for the manufacture, testing, supply and delivery of CSP transformers. Bidders with electrical engineering/manufacturing capability and transformer production experience should consider bidding.

Requirements

• Must be registered on the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality supplier database.
• Documents available for a non-refundable fee of R1,661.00; payment options include cash/cheque or bank transfer with the details provided in the notice, and proof of payment required.
• All bids must be submitted on official forms provided by the Municipality and must be stamped; not re-typed or copied.
• Tender is valid for 90 days.
• Delivery location: Harrower Road North End, Gqeberha 6001.
• Tender must be submitted in sealed envelopes to the specified tender boxes; opening occurs publicly shortly after 11:00 on the application date.
• Bids must be submitted to meet the stated deadlines; late tenders will not be accepted.
• Preference will be given in line with the Municipality SCM Policy for previously disadvantaged small and medium contractors.
• Proof of payment must accompany the bid where applicable.

How to Apply

• Register on the Municipality’s supplier database (call 041-5063274/3266 if not yet registered).
• Obtain tender documents from the SCM Tender Office (Harrower Road) or Kariega office for the applicable tender set for a non-refundable fee (see notice). See (Advert 03-06-2026._ (002).pdf).
• Pay the tender fee of R1,661.00 and provide proof of payment (cash/cheque or bank transfer; reference Vote 00154776; account details in the notice).
• Submit bids on the official stamped bid documentation; do not copy or re-type.
• Submit by the deadline: 16 July 2026 at 11:00, in sealed envelopes to the SCM tender boxes at Harrower Road North End or 17 Sellick Street, Kariega (between 08:00–16:00). Tenders open publicly shortly after 11:00 on the submission date.
