Overview

Manufacture, testing, supply and delivery of LV wiring cable and flexible cords for the City of Cape Town’s Electricity Generation and Distribution, contract not exceeding 36 months. Bidders should be manufacturers or suppliers of LV cables/cords with testing capability and relevant certifications (e.g., SABS Mark).

Requirements

• Compliance with the CCT SCM Policy and full returnable documentation.
• Certification: cables carrying the SABS Mark may rely on current SABS Mark Permit; full type-test certificates are not required in that case.
• Tax clearance: SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN, and verification prior to award.
• Registrations: on the City of Cape Town Supplier Database and the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD); separate PINs for each JV participant.
• Declarations: Declaration of Interests, Declaration of Bidders’ Past SCM Practices, Certificate of Independent Bid Determination.
• OH&S: comply with Occupational Health and Safety Act; provide Health and Safety Plan if requested.
• Data/records: comply with data protection and related policy provisions; provide required returnable schedules (Annexure F) and pricing schedules (C.4).
• Samples/inspections: access for inspections/tests as required; samples where requested must be provided as instructed.
