Overview

City of Cape Town seeks to manufacture, test, supply and deliver miniature circuit breakers. Open tender for up to 36 months; bidders may be manufacturers or suppliers capable of supplying MCBs, with the potential to appoint two tenderers per item (Main Contractor and an Alternative Contractor) or an alternative manufacturer if available. Requirements

• Compliance with the City’s SCM Policy and avoidance of conflicts of interest; disclosures required.
• Tenderers must be registered on the City of Cape Town Supplier Database (each JV party must register).
• Ability to supply MCBs from specific manufacturers or alternatives; if only one manufacturer, the second-best bid from the same manufacturer may be appointed as Alternative.
• Submit returnable documents as per Annexure F (e.g., price schedule, deviations, declarations, and supporting forms like Schedule F.4–F.14).
• Provide a Pro Forma performance/guarantee (Annexure C) and related security as applicable.
• Complete and sign the Form of Offer and Acceptance; adhere to pricing and other contract documentation.
• Tender fee: R200 for hard copy; not payable for online downloads.
• Compliance with POPIA data processing and related privacy/Information requests.

How to Apply

• Closing date/time: 30 July 2026 at 10:00 (as per tender document). Clarification meeting 09 July 2026 at 12:00 via MS Teams; not compulsory but strongly recommended.
• Submission method: sealed envelope placed in the Tender Box at Civic Centre, 12 Hertzog Boulevard, Cape Town (Tender Box & Address). If too large, inquire at the Tender Distribution Office for alternatives.
• Documents to submit: completed Form of Offer and Acceptance, Price Schedule, Returnable Documents (Annexure F), and all other required schedules (e.g., Schedule F.4–F.14) as part of the tender submission.
• Pre-qualification/registrations: registered on the City’s Supplier Database; Joint Ventures must register individually.
