Overview

Procurement of manufacturing, supplying and delivering lead pots on an as‑required basis for a period of three (3) years. The South African Nuclear Energy Corporation (Necsa) seeks suppliers with industrial lead pot manufacturing capability, ability to operate in a radiological environment, and compliance with nuclear‑sector quality and safety requirements (see Specification Lead pots and NEC SA terms).

Requirements

• Compliance with PPR Act 2022, relevant GCC, and Necsa policies (SHEQ, alcohol/drug, safety).
• Pre‑qualification: complete Bidder Information; confirm compliance to technical specs with a letterhead; provide a sample prior to final appointment.
• Technical scoring (100 total): minimum 80 to be considered. Criteria include: relevant experience in manufacturing lead products; traceable reference letters (lead pots/industrial lead products); product datasheets; delivery schedule (1–2 months preferred).
• BBBEE: provide BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; specific goal points apply (ownership-based).
• Sub‑contracting/consortium: disclose subcontracts; consortium agreement if applicable; NeCSA may reject subcontractors.
• Site access and safety: restricted site access; radiological area; pre‑employment/security screening for staff on site; ability to deploy competent personnel; sample acceptance.
• Returnable documents: complete NDA/Confidentiality, SBDs, tax and BBBEE forms, POPIA DPA, consortium/joint venture details, tax PIN/CSD where applicable.
• Delivery and quality: pricing schedule with VAT; project plan; quality/SHEQ documentation; QCP for manufacturing.
