Overview

Matimba Power Station Ash Plant Conveyor Drive Upgrade for a period of 12 months. This construction tender seeks a contractor to perform the ash conveyor drive upgrade at Matimba Power Station, Lephalale. Suitable bidders are civil/engineering contractors with CIDB Grade 7 ME capability, plus demonstrated QMS (ISO 9001) and strong SHEQ capabilities to meet Eskom’s safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

Requirements

• CIDB: main contractor CIDB Grade 7 ME (and appropriate JV/sub-contractor CIDB designations).
• CIDB proof of grading and registration (CIDB).
• Local content and related procurement forms as attached (Annexures C–G).
• Health, Safety and Environment: COIDA good standing; OHS plan; BRA; OHS competency/briefings; site-specific safety rules.
• Environmental: EMP, EPRP, waste management, A&I, MS.
• Quality: ISO 9001-like QMS evidence; contract quality and QC plans.
• Finance/Compliance: tax clearance; CIDB/CSD and tax PIN verification; audited financials if required.
• Cataloguing and labeling for delivered Eskom materials; cataloguing schedules may be required.
• Security for performance: at least two Eskom-approved institutions for performance security.
• Returnables, SBDs, and JV documents as per Annexures A–J.
• CIDB-specific tender data and compliance with PPPFA scoring and potential use of SDI&L goals.
