Matimba Power Station - Unit 2-6 Diesel Generator Fire Protection.

Overview

Eskom invites bids for Matimba Power Station Unit 2-6 Diesel Generator Fire Protection. The contract covers design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the diesel generator fire protection system for Units 2–6, including mechanical, civil and electrical/instrumentation works, site information, testing, handover, and related documentation. Bidders with power-plant fire-protection experience and the capacity to meet Eskom’s eligibility, local-content (CPA) requirements and CIDB prerequisites are advised to bid.

Requirements

• Meet Eskom eligibility: no restrictions with Eskom/State-Owned; not sanction-listed; not submitting more than one tender unless under e-tendering framework; no conflict of interest; not on Tender Defaulters list.
• Submit a complete, compliant tender: technical, commercial and financial information plus mandatory tender returnables by deadlines.
• Complete annexures and forms: Authorisation Form, Acknowledgement, Tenderer’s particulars, Integrity Declaration/Pact, CPA local/foreign content declarations, SBD 1, SBD 6.1, SBD 4, Tax questionnaire, CIDB CSDG (if applicable), and E-tendering guidance docs; pricing schedules in PDF and Excel; local content declarations (G1–G4) if designated materials apply.
• Pricing/cataloguing: Pricing Schedule/BOQ (with cataloguing line item; Eskom pays for cataloguing).
• Site/clarifications: Compulsory clarification meeting 5 November 2026 (MS Teams); attendance is mandatory.
• Submission mechanics: Electronic submission via Eskom E-tendering; PDFs up to 500 MB per document, total up to 4 GB; no hard copies.
• Quality/SSHE: Include QCP/ITP (quality plan) and demonstrate QMS (ISO 9001-like) and SHE requirements (Annexure B).
• CIDB/CSDG: If applicable, meet CIDB CSDG targets (depends on contract value); provide evidence.
